Reishi Mushroom (LingZhi)Ganoderma lucidum![]()
The Reishi Mushroom (or Lingzhi in Mandarin) has been used for thousands of years. It has always been highly regarded as a healing mushroom capable of all but immortality. In more recent years it has been shown to be an incredible immune system stimulator and is today used in treatments against viruses such as aids, tumors/cancer and other diseases. Unlike other herbal "remedies", this mushrooms has been extensively tested in many countries (especially Japan) for its medicinal qualities. People have claimed that this mushroom has the power to stop certain horrible diseases such as cancer! The best part is that these claims are backed up by science and research. The second most valuable asset of this little polypore is that it has no negtive side affects. If you drink too much there does not appear to be any sideaffects and we have yet to see a single scientific report to imply so. This mushroom can be cooked into a soup broth, made into tea, powdered and taken in pill form etc. Me and my wife drink about 2 liters of tea with this mushroom in it every day, and I can say for sure we feel much more energetic and "refreshed". Even though we think this is really a miracle herb, some may not believe the claims we state (especially because we are selling it. Of course we make it sound good, right?). See below for some links to research done on the Reishi Mushroom. I strongly encourage the use of this mushroom for everyone, old and young, sick and healthy. Please see bellow our products for links to research and to see how to cook this mushroom. Cooking Reishi MushroomsThe idea is to allow all the important ingredients to leach out of the mushroom and into the water. Whether you are making tea or soup or cooking the process is the same. Reishi mushrooms are pretty woody and hard (this is why many are sold as sliced) and it may take a while to saturate the water. About 1-2 cups are used to make 1-2 liters of tea/soup. Place your Reishi into the pot/kettle of water and bring to a boil. Let it boil for abotu 10 minute and let it simmer for another 20. Without getting too carried away, it is generally better to cook it for longer, say an hour. BUt shorter will do. Reishi tea, if cooked properly (long enough) should taste very bitter! This is easily masked with other things such as honey or other flavouring herbs. Some people prefer to make up a large batch all at once and store it in the refrigerator. We generally make up about 10 liters at a time and drink it throughout the week. Scientific ResearchReishi: Positive Cancer Treatments |
