A'lian, Pingdong, Taiwan

When you are cruising south on main freeway #3 and pass Tainan, you come to the las tollbooth before the Kaohsiung Exit, the well known red bridge. On either side of the freeway you can witness, briefly, these bazaar mountains. There are roads into these areas, and a viewpoint, but it is very poorly marked. The area really does look like a mars landscape, and to other expats the Name “A’lian” is loosely just called “Alien”. For directions, email us.
