Canada - The Great White NorthCanada is the second largest country in the world, after Russia, and is made up of 10 provinces and 3 territories. Canada stretches from the pacific ocean accross to the Atlantic and goes well up into the arctic circle. To the south of Canada lies the USA on the 49th parrallel (in most places).
The provinces are situated along the southern parts of Canada, and the territories are up north above the provinces. Due to the extreme cold in the north, and even the middle of, Canada, these areaas are not very populated. Most areas of human habitation is in the southern strip of Canada and along coastal areas. Although Canada is generally considered a cold country, and lacks teh tropical rainforests and deserts, it is quite a diverse place. From frozen tundra and alpine forests, down to rainforests and near desert situations. The variable ecosystems house many thousands of species and aare often considered some of the more beautiful (scenic) places on earth. To put it simply, Canada is an outdoors person's fantasy land.
