Lophophora williamsii forma. crestate (crested Peyote cactus) for sale

Crested Peyote are perhaps one of the most bizarre mutations of all the Lophophora freaks! Instead of growing as a round buttin it literally grows sideways eventually forming a snake like creature. Peyote crests often grow considerably slower than regular peyote, but they will still grow at a decent pace if conditions are right.

It is great to finally have this incredibly rare and sought after cactus available. Over time we will try to add more up for sale, but they often go fast so check back often.

Choosing a Crested Peyote: First and foremost buy a cactus that you like and will enjoy for many years. Cheap or expensive "pretty" or "ugly"; if you like it then that is all that matters! From a collectors point of view, however, Peyote crests are often considered "higher quality" if they are wider and pup less. Many crests are rather thin (meaning they grow skinny) and pup a lot (they have normal appearing babies). The thinner ones are not thought to be as "good" as the thicker/wider growing ones that pup far less. The lines that grow fat and dont pup, truly look amazing when older. They will eventually form a large twisting peyote crest that is almost snake like in appearance. Make sure you get one that fits your liking!

Lophophora williamsii forma. crestate (LWFC-002)

Size: 12 cm

Propagation Method: Rooted Cutting.

Price: *SOLD*

Notes: This is a very fat line that will eventually grow quite long and wide while giving out very few "normal" looking pups. This ones parent is about 35 cm wide and tall, and just looks unreal! This cactus will make even the biggest collector smile every time he or she walks by!
